Early Morning Practice RoseXScorpius part 3

Rose silently put on her Quiditch robes and grabbed her broom. She was nearly out the door, when she bumped it and the irritating creek sounded her escape. She froze and searched the room in for any signs that she had woken up a roommate. She sighed a breath of relief when they were all still asleep. Shutting the door she turned to run down the stairs.

As she ran into the common room she bumped into someone who was coming down from the boys stairs. "I am so sorry," she muttered quietly, before she saw who it was. "Albus what are you doing?" she demanded quietly to her cousin. He looked at her in her robes and with her broom.

"What about you, playing by yourself now are we?" he asked, her hand shot out covering his mouth. He licked her hand and she ripped it off his mouth and wiped it on his shirt. "The real question is what are you doing?" he asked.

She looked around, "I'm practicing with Scorpius. And before you say anything more about my robes, I am wearing them because they are the warmest ones that stay on while flying." She shouldered her broom and walked away from her cousin.

"Have fun on your 'date' then," he over pronounced date in a way that made her want to swing her broom at his head just for fun, but when she turned around he was already gone. She quietly made her way across the common room and down the halls without being seen.

She nearly bumped into Peeves but hid behind the corner as he zoomed past singing loudly.
Quietly Rose made her way to the Quiditch pitch where she saw a speck of green flying high above the ground. She walked into the middle of the pitch and waited for Scorpius to come down. When he didn't come down she mounted her broom and kicked off and rose quickly to reach his altitude.

"Hey Scorp," she greeted him, he tossed her the quaffle. "Why do you have this? We are both Seekers," she asked playing with the quaffle as if it were the muggle soccer ball her mother got her for Christmas last year.

He shrugged, "We may be replaced, you bumped James to beater. Why couldn't we be bumped to a new position?" he asked. She looked at the ball for a second before zooming off towards the far end of the pitch and the three gleaming hoops. "Hey I didn't say go!" he shouted as he tried to catch her.

She turned around and saw Scorpius gaining on her. She leaned forward on the handle of her broom to increase her speed. She was almost five meters from the goal when Scorpius appeared between her and her target; she had to veer sharply to avoid colliding with him.

She changed her target and tried for the hoop to the right of the center one and again he was there in front of her. This time she threw the ball through the one on the left and scored.

Scorpius dived and caught the ball before it touched the ground. He came back up with it resting under his arm. "Great job Ro, I nearly got you but you out smarted me," he said with a smile. Before throwing the ball up gently and then knocking it towards her with the tail of his broom.

"Not bad yourself." She said grinning, "We must be some of the youngest seekers ever, well besides my uncle Harry. But still we made history. Two first years making the team the same year," she said as she flew up next to her best friend. "How amazing would it be to play for a professional team someday? Together, of course I will be seeker." She smiled at him.

He laughed. "No way, I will be the seeker and you will be a chaser. I saw your moves, you're quick witted enough to be a chaser," he said paying her a complement in a playful way. Soon both were tossing the ball back and forth as they zoomed across the field and tried to block each other from scoring.

When they finally landed for water, Rose had a chance to pull a prank on Scorpius. She took his broom and levitated it in the air, so when he turned around she was standing there looking at him while he had his own cup of water and one for her in his hands. "Where's my broom?" he asked looking around. She shrugged. "Where is my broom Ro?" he asked again moving closer with the two cups of water.

"Don't you dare pour that water on me!" she squealed. "Scorpius don't you dare!" she yelped as she jumped on her broom and flew out of his reach. She laughed as she was just out of his reach and in his attempt to catch her he had tripped on the hem of his robes and spilling the water on himself. "See you in potions Scorp!" she called as she flew back towards the castle. She didn't hear Scorpius groan in pain as his broom hit him in the head as she released the spell holding it in the air.
